Weekly Update 09/07/2021 – Fr. Cyril Gorgy
Beloved Holy Resurrection Church (HRC) family, wishing you a blessed Coptic New Year 1738 A.M.
We celebrate the Coptic New Year on September 11. The Coptic calendar is know as Anno Martyrum “A.M.”, which means Year of the Martyrs. The Coptic calendar started in 284AD, marking the beginning of the reign of Diocletian the Roman Emperor, who martyred a great number of Christians in Egypt, hence the name ‘Year of the Martyrs’.
Now that many have signed up into the new church database system “CHmeetings”, we encourage those who were not able to sign up or encountered any difficulties to send an email to [email protected] for a password reset or assistance.
